Why don't nutritionists' methods help you lose weight?



When people decide to lose weight or do body shaping, I often see them consulting with a nutritionist.

Also, when a food product is labeled "Nutritionist-Produced," it seems that many people think it must be good for losing weight and body shaping.

But can a nutritionist really help you lose weight and do body shaping just by being consulted?

When you look at the bodies of many nutritionists, you'll see they are overweight, which probably makes you question them even more, doesn't it?

Please take a look at the chart below.

First, the fundamental principle of losing weight is to increase your "basal metabolism," which means increasing muscle mass. For this, it is absolutely essential to integrate both exercise and diet.


Especially for women trying to lose weight, it seems that for the majority of women, nutritionist-guided diets or registered dietitian-guided diets often fail to help them lose weight and body shape successfully.

Why is this? Why don't they lose weight beautifully? Why can't they achieve a beautiful body shape?

The only way to increase your basal metabolism, which accounts for 70% of your body's energy consumption, is to increase your muscle mass. This is because basal metabolic rate is proportional to muscle mass. In other words, when you increase your muscle, your body will burn more calories even when you are just sitting or sleeping, becoming a body type that is naturally predisposed to burn body fat.

Reasons why nutritionist-guided diets don't work for weight loss / Why nutrition guidance and personal training don't work

 

The integration of both exercise and diet is essential, which means knowledge of physiology and muscle physiology is required.

The nutritionist qualification in Japan was born out of the role of "making people gain weight" to combat malnutrition after the post-war food shortages. The training for this qualification is completely devoid of physiology, muscle physiology, exercise, and physical activity.

Therefore, when you consult them, all they can teach you is nutritional components like "calories, fats, and salts per 100g."

For losing weight and body shaping, physiology and muscle physiology are essential, and focusing only on "nutritional components" is not enough.

And naturally, knowledge meant for making people gain weight cannot reduce body fat or increase muscle mass.

Furthermore, nutritionists have no knowledge of exercise. Even if they give you exercise guidance, it will probably be limited to something like "please go for a walk." Can you lose weight with that? Can you do body shaping like slimming your lower body or getting beautiful legs with that?

Unfortunately, "nutrition guidance" and "losing weight/body shaping" are completely different things.


If you've made up your mind to do body shaping, it would be a shame if you end up with a roundabout way of losing weight or the wrong body shaping method, wasting your effort and time.
