Why Don't Pressure Training Diets Help You Lose Weight?

 

Pressure training, which became a boom a while ago, has left many women reporting:

I got no results at all from pressure training...

I actually gained weight compared to before...

I feel like I gained muscle in my thighs and arms, but overall I became bulkier and didn't lose weight...

Why do such phenomena occur?

The answer is very simple.

Pressure training fundamentally lacks the body functional elements necessary for dieting and body shaping.

The fundamental principle of dieting is to prioritize increasing basal metabolism, which accounts for 70% of the body's energy expenditure.

To increase basal metabolism, you must increase muscle mass. If you increase basal metabolism, muscles will automatically burn fat even when you're sitting still.

That's why increasing muscle mass is necessary for weight loss.

Now, let's examine pressure training from the perspective of "increasing muscle mass."

Muscle physiologically, increasing muscle requires the following two process conditions:

① Physical Process
Muscles have the property of adapting to gravitational environments. For example, just as astronauts return to Earth unsteady after space travel, muscles deteriorate in zero-gravity environments. Conversely, muscles have the property of increasing when subjected to loads that create gravitational environments exceeding Earth's 1G.

② Chemical Process
Growth hormone. Growth hormone is secreted due to low-oxygen conditions within muscles caused by muscle contraction and extension.

These two conditions are essential requirements for increasing muscle.

Unfortunately, strength training in pressure training only has the "chemical element." This means that even with strength training, muscle mass doesn't increase enough to raise basal metabolic rate. When basal metabolic rate doesn't increase, dieting becomes very inefficient and it's no exaggeration to say that dieting cannot be achieved, as shown in the basic diet principles below. This is because muscle is the only organ in the body that burns fat. If you have more muscle, fat burns vigorously even when sitting still. Conversely, with little muscle, fat won't burn no matter how long you move.

Unfortunately, contrary to public perception, pressure training is just one training method among many. It's not the universal training that solves everything just by doing pressure training. In other words, pressure training alone cannot achieve body shaping and dieting.

To change perspective, pressure training certified trainers are like hairstylists who got color certification so they can do coloring, but can't do cutting or perming at all. Normally, shouldn't hairstylists who can do coloring, cutting, perming, and everything be the standard? To truly make someone beautiful, shouldn't being proficient in everything be basic?

Moreover, with pressure training, only the areas where bands are wrapped and feel numb are effective, so muscle only increases in the bicep area below the shoulders and the thigh area below the hip joints. However, it should be added that the arms and thigh areas affected by pressure training have proven to have remarkable muscle-building effects.

By the way, aren't the thighs and arms the areas where women don't want to build muscle?
